ACCM-11 Young Researcher Awards

The ACCM Young Researcher Awards will be awarded to the best student papers at ACCM-11. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible, if they are enrolled at a university at the time of abstract submission and ACCM-11 registration. Candidates or nominees for the award must be the first author and presenter of their research at the ACCM-11 conference.

IMPORTANT  The deadline for nominating or applying for the ACCM Young Researcher Awards will coincide with the final abstract submission deadline.

Four finalists will be selected from submissions and invited to present their research in the ACCM Young Researchers plenary session at ACCM-11. The final two winners will receive a free ticket for the banquet, where they will be presented with the ACCM Young Researcher award.

The selection of the ACCM Young Researcher Award is based on both the quality of the paper and the presentation. Submissions that are not selected to present at the special session will be allocated to regular technical sessions.

Selection Criteria

  1. Overall, technical excellence of the research is the main selection criteria. Submitted papers will be judged on their clarity and conciseness of the statement of the objectives of the work, and the clarity and conciseness of the statement of the approaches, procedures, and methodologies for achieving these objectives.
  2. A summary of important conclusions should be included, and these should be substantiated. The significance of the findings, how they contribute to the state of the art, and how they relate to the work of other investigators should be easily determined from the writing.
  3. Effective use of tables and figures, and ease of understanding them, including units, dimensions, legends, labels, symbol and line types and colors, etc., will be considered.
  4. Presentation quality includes clarity, organization, audio-visual quality, and timing.

STEP 2 Register for the Awards in the form below. Your submission will be considered as a valid application only when you have registered with us using the form below.

IMPORTANT  You will be informed by email no later than June 30, 2018 if your abstract satisfies the criteria listed above and is selected for the ACCM Young Researcher session. Upon selection, candidates will be invited to submit a four-page paper via conference submission system in order to complete qualification for the ACCM Young Researcher Awards.
