The Asian-Australasian Association for Composite Materials (AACM) was founded in 1997 to encourage the free exchange of information and ideas on composite materials which are of interest to the scientific and engineering communities.
Since its inception the association has made great strides towards the provision of an Asian-Australasian wide discussion forum by organising the ACCM series of conferences.
The inaugural Asian-Australasian Conference on Composite Materials (ACCM-1) was successfully held in October 1998 in Osaka, Japan. Thereafter, it was decided that the ACCM conferences would be held once every two years: Kyongju-Korea (August 2000), Auckland-New Zealand (July 2002), Sydney-Australia (July 2004), Hong Kong-SAR (November 2006), Kyushu-Japan (September 2008), Taipei-Taiwan (November 2010), Kuala Lumpur-Malaysia (November 2012), Suzhou, China (October 2014), and Busan, South Korea (2016).
The 11th Asian Australasian Conference on Composite Materials (ACCM-11) will be held in Cairns, Queensland, Australia from 29th July, 2018 to 1st August, 2018.
